Live Works | Conversations
‘Crosscut’, an independent initiative between the Gurmani Centre of Languages and Literature and House, intends to question formats of conversations, dialogue and debate. Open to a wide range of disciplines, Crosscut will bring together the creative and the critical to explore themes around popular culture such as Censorship, The Public Space, Consumerism, and Privacy, through dialogues and performances of artists, literary practitioners, journalists, and academics. The program introduces a unique format bringing together two varied segments—Conversations and Live Works—to bridge ways of talking, seeing and doing. Crosscut aims to break the fourth wall between performers/speakers and the audience, and create a new space for public engagement that entails an inspiring, intimate and inclusive experience.
