Aziz Hamid Madni was a poet critic, predominantly known for his experiments with language and poetic techniques. Madni was born in 1922 in Raipur and later migrated to Pakistan where he worked as a journalist and later joined radio Pakistan. His collection of poetry included Chashm-e-Nigaraan, Dasht-e-Imkaan, Nakhl-e-Gumaanand Masaargan-e-khoonfashaan. In 2013, his work was compiled into Kulyat-e-Aziz Hamid Madni. Moreover, he translated modern French poems to Urdu. Aziz Hamid Madni, after losing his battle against cancer, passed away in 1991 in Karachi.
